Jim Lutton - Secretary 

James Lutton is a lifelong resident of Delaware County, Indiana, where he serves as the secretary for the Delaware County Democratic Central Committee. He plays an instrumental role in advancing civic participation, with a special focus on voter registration and absentee voting; his efforts are centered on helping citizens exercise their fundamental right to vote and access for all. James has also served on and managed several Democratic campaigns, bringing grassroots strategy and a passion for Democratic values to the forefront of local elections.


In addition to his leadership in local politics, Lutton currently serves on the Muncie Parks and Recreation Board, contributing to the development and maintenance of public spaces that enhance the quality of life for residents. His previous public service includes time on the Alcohol Beverage Committee, where he helped guide important regulatory decisions.

 

Professionally, James is the owner and operator of Lutton Construction and Remodeling LLC, a business he founded in 2007. With over 40 years of experience in the construction industry—beginning his career in 1985—he has built a reputation for quality craftsmanship and dependable service throughout Delaware County and beyond. He also spent 10 years working for General Motors, where he was a proud member of UAW Local 499. His commitment to labor rights and worker solidarity extended into his involvement with East Central Indiana Solidarity, where he was an active member and served for five years.

 

James Lutton embodies a deep-rooted commitment to Delaware County—through his work, advocacy, and leadership, he continues to make a lasting impact on the community he has always called home.
